NEW YEAR, NEW BEGINNING for me ! Not forgetting a NEW BLOGGING SANCTUARY =)
Arrived in London Heathrow on 1st Jan. Cant believe I actly get to study here. In London. On a scholarship. Wow. Last time I wouldn’t even dare apply for a JPA or Petronas scholar coz I noe I would never reach their standard. Its amazing how things turn out in the end ;-)
Anyway, my mom’s here with me for 9 days to help sort out stuff and all. We reached at 4pm UK time, after 13 hrs of flight ! ( duduk hingga punggung sudah tarak feel ). Then I had to go tru the medical dept.

Walau when I went inside the room its full of the middle-east ppl… I guess coz of the 9/11 incident & London bombings, these ppl have to go tru extra screening. Luckily I had my x-rays done in Pg as advised by Raghu =) I get to skip the med check-up part n hurried on to get my passports stamp n stuff… Thanz ragx !
Aunt Julia, Jonathan’s mom have a brother, Uncle Peng living in London who picked us up from the airport. Jono & Aunt Julia, thank you very much ! As we drove along… he explained bout certain landmarks and places.

Yippee for me I’ve studied the map of London n read bout some historical stuff b4 coming… so I more or less noe wat he’s talking about… haha… Ok la i admit tat it was my Dad who FORCED me to study the map. Sshh dun tell him he's right... Anyway we went for dinner in Chinatown n then off to Dover Castle to sign the contract and then go search for my hse.
Ok when I reached my home, Ada Road, the place was like OMG. In a bad way. I dun mean the neighbourhood. I was talking about the hse.
My roommate, a French girl had 2,3 guys smoking n drinking in our room. She hogs the best spot in the room n dominated the dressing table n cupboard. Leaving me with a dilapidated bed facing the door. N the room has this weird stench. N she have all these gypsy-like decoration n all those candles n mambo-jambos in the room. The other ppl in the hse also like tat type.
Like WTH… Macam mana aku nak belajar (as if I would) kat rumah ni?
My mom was furious bout this so we went back to Dover Castle to complain to get a new hse. One of the staff, David showed us 2 more houses, 1 in Hashmere Road n another in Flodden Road. I finally picked the latter. It turns out David stays here too. Well I guess I met my 1st hsemate !
My room is big n nice. Yippe ! I have a whole room to myself. MY BED IS QUEEN SIZE !! muahahaha… I have a cupboard, a big table n a mini fridge in my room. Not to forget the ever essential heater and the lovely red curtains =)
My kitchen looks homely n nice. It pretty equip, with lots of cooking utensils and a washing machine. There’s sofa, tv, 2 fridges. N we have a garden at the back of the hse. It looks not bad, has a BBQ set n stuff…
The bathroom is my fav part. It lookz like a hotel bathroom, with bath tub n all… Hehe… but 1 thing. The shower isn’t working very well. The water pressure’s too low. Maybe coz winter time kua. But it’ll be cool to soak inside n have a nice bubble bath =)
